Every configuration step can also be done via the command line using the TimeLine.SecurityConsole.exe executable located in the installation folder for TimeLine.Server. However, we encourage you to use the Server Configurator if possible.

The first step to configure the Stunnel proxy requires us to generate a root certificate authority for the organization we're installing E3 for:

This can be easily done via the TimeLine Server Configurator, in the Security tab (added in version 15):

This step requires entering the following required fields describing the organization running the TimeLine Server: country code, state, city, organization, organization unit, email. Once these details are filled in, click the "Generate Root CA" button and enter a password for the this certificate.

Make sure you check the status of the certificate, in the upper right corner.

In order for the server to accept connections through Stunnel, make sure the "Proxy" is set as "Enabled" and you've performed a "Load Configuration" after all client certificates have been generated, as shown bellow.
